Over the past four years I have had the pleasure to serve the Chico area as a State Farm agent. I began my insurance career working for a State Farm agent in 2015 while earning my Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance at Chico State. I quickly realized this was my passion and eventually became an agent in the summer of 2018. I choose this career because it allowed to protect the community I grew up in, while creating meaningful relationships with its members. As a Chico local I appreciate the unique values that make this community so special and realize what is important to the people of Butte County.

My office is able to provide auto insurance, home insurance, business insurance, health insurance and life Insurance. We focus on customizing plans that are in the foremost interest of our customers by having thorough conversations and identifying our customer’s needs. We are able to provide this service to both English and Spanish speakers in Butte County and surrounding communities. Our commitment is to treat all our new and existing customers with respect, honesty, and to always look out for their personal interest.

If you are in Chico, Paradise, Magalia, Oroville, or anywhere in Butte County, Glenn county or Tehama County, and are looking to compare your insurance plan, I would love to be a resource for you. My office is ready to provide quotes via phone, text, email or in person. We look forward to meeting you! Keep up with us on Facebook with our hashtag #eddyfromsf.

Simple winter driving tips:

Road conditions can become very hazardous during winter weather. The roads might become wet, snowy, slushy or icy and poor visibility can result when it’s foggy. Of all weather-related crashes, 24% occur on slushy, icy or snowy roads. Winter driving can have its own set of challenges from the moment you start your vehicle. Here are some useful winter driving suggestions:

  • Clear frost, snow and ice thoroughly from all windows and exterior mirrors of your car. Brush snow away to help prevent it from blowing into your line of sight while driving.

  • Never warm up your vehicle in a closed garage. This could lead to carbon monoxide problems.

  • Consider keeping your gas tank at least half full to help prevent gas line freeze-up. It’s also a good idea to keep your tank full in case you become stuck in the snow waiting for rescue or if you have an emergency and need to drive somewhere.

  • Check that your exhaust pipe is not clogged with mud or snow.

  • Don't use cruise control on icy roads.

  • Allow more time and space for braking when visibility is poor.

  • Try to stay calm if you start to skid and be prepared for black ice.

  • If your vehicle has anti-lock brakes, be familiar with how they operate so you are not surprised if your ABS brakes engage in slick driving conditions.

All drivers should think about using extra caution when driving in winter conditions. Slow down and allow additional time to get to your destination.

Customer Service Representative

I have spent most of my life in the great town of Chico and graduated from Chico State in 2019. After welcoming my son a couple years ago, I took some time off to be a stay at home mom but was ready to jump back into work as my son has grown older. Eddy and his team welcomed me in August of 2021 and have been incredible teammates in guiding me through the insurance world. My main area of focus is "customer representative" as I hope to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding all your insurance needs. I have a passion for helping others and hope to utilize my skills to be resourceful guide for you and your family. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, baking, bike rides and walks in the park. I look forward to serving you at Eddy Rodriguez State Farm.

Amber Rodriguez

Account Representative

Four years ago, I became a part of the State Farm family when we opened our doors here at Eddy Rodriguez State Farm in 2018. Since then, I have been involved in the insurance industry ‘behind the scenes’ as my first trade lies in the field of Speech Language Pathology.

I received a Bachelor’s Degree in 2016 and a Master’s Degree in 2018 at Chico State. I have spent the last four years primarily in the field of healthcare as a Speech Therapist. My ultimate goal was to one day be able to transition to help support our local agency, which is where life has placed me now. I am licensed to provide home, auto, life and health insurance products to meet a variety of needs.

Outside of the office you can find me traveling with my husband, hanging out with our cats, and exploring the outdoors. As Chico locals, we also love spending time at some of our favorite downtown restaurants and hiking in Bidwell Park.
